i guess it would just be how ever you would imagined it...
Anything you can imagine is possible. Green sky's, yellow clouds (Alaurast78 dreamed this)
i cant imagine it... like moving threw something if i did manage i would prolly end up falling endlessly threw everything in my imagination
String Theory YAY! :? This is an interesting subject that I’ve been into for a few years :D
String Theory is a really interesting concept. I saw a cool program about this a few years ago called "The Elegant Universe", this guy had a loaf of bread that represented our understanding of the universe and with each new piece of bread he cut, it characterised a different dimensional layer to our universe. Its own reality with its own laws altered or slightly changed from our own etc.

\"The extra dimension of space required to unify string theory suggests that we may be trapped on just one tiny slice of a higher-dimensional universe.\"
I do believe in multiple dimensions existing simultaneously. When you think about dreams:-
I like to hope we can see into other layers of the world. I think about onions and how they have different layers (lol) containing different states of perception and awareness. I once had an experience that i thought i broke through some void or something -Quote:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/ Some interesting articles and cool videos from the program on String Theory if you haven’t already seen it. (HOUR 3 \"Parallel Universes is the interesting one)
sorry to bore you all (lol) its just a highly fascinating and thought-provoking subject.
- i like that idea :)Quote:

yayyy i love it love it love it i got into it about a year and a half ago from the elegant universe one midnight on pbs and i was like flabberghasted for a week about it all
well that thread you linked is very intruiging i will attempt it if i can but i am still quite immature in the lucid ness only had my first expirence two nights ago.
If you guys liked the show, you should read the book that it's based on. The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. Much more in depth.
how much more in depth? O_o
you have only had five LDs in the past 9 months or so?
The movie is 3 hours long, the book is 464 pages. A LOT more in depth :)
Check out all the stuff about multidimensional stuff. Figure it out and learn to actually "see" 4th dimension things in your mind. If you want a really good book to help you figure it out, get Flatland by Edwin A. Abbot. It's a really short book, really easy to read, a great satire, and with a minimum of actual math, but it explains the dimensions VERY well. Project Gutenberg has it:

Having a 4th (or beyond) dimensional dream is my major LD goal.
Probably only the math geeks here will get this, but there seem to be enough of us, so:
A mathematician and an engineer go to a lecture on quantum physics. The engineer's sitting there, listening, but he just doesn't get it. He glances at his friend, who is sitting back, smiling, taking it all in. As the lecture goes on, the engineer just gets more and more confused, while the mathematician looks like he's getting more and more interested. After the lecture the two go for a drink (alcoholic, of course (sorry, another joke)) and the engineer asks, "Did you get that?"
The mathematician replies, "Of course! It was fascinating! Didn't you get it?"
A little annoyed, "Nope. How do you understand it?"
"I just vizualize it."
"How do you vizualize something that's in 12 dimensions, though?"
"I just see it in n dimensional space and set n = 12."
Isn't that lucky Charms in the waking world? ;)Quote:

There is a new release of a movie I had just watched. Very interesting. It is a movie that documents the ideas and thoughts of several scientist their theories and ideas. Quintom physics, string theories and the like are all talked about. Do they discuss lucid dreaming? no but that is where you come in.
And in my *DUMB opion I think that other plains of existance falls more towards the realm of astral projection and dream sharing for to actually put an idea like this in "real" action. If you believe in such a thing.
but as Seeker limits when you can control your dreams.
Go to another Universe if you like. :D
haha thats cheap, i dont quite follow the alcoholic drink...Quote:

(thanks for the link)
Yay for 12 dimensional space! I tried to explain to my wife one time that the current univers was not three dimensional, but in reality had 11 and most likely 12 dimensions. I got that strange look again O_oQuote:

I have no problem with 12 dimensions. It would be kind of cool if string theory proved to be true.
New to this forum and just curious, how many men and women would you estimate to completely outright disbelieve in visiting an alternate dimension through dreaming?
because i found a very rude disbeliever today and i need some questions answered about this seeing as this is a good thread to start off at?
Would i be able to say that my being could exist in two different dimension simultaneously?
Is Dreaming a possible gateway to alternate dimensions or realities?
could we consider dreaming a completely different reality?
and
are ideas that occur in dreams concepts that grow into a reality in another universe/dimension , are they an already existing reality that we are now just taking
part in or are they completely dreams/concepts molded together as on solid thought creating a world induced through "drugs" (DMT) being pumped into our brains?
