Not sure if you had an LD?

As of now, I havn't been trying to much to have and LD. The past week I got back into trying LD's. I don't have much luck with DILD's so I would go try to WILD if I woke up at the right time. So 3 times in the past week, I had the strange thing happen where I wasn't sure if I WILD'D or not. When I woke up the second time I wasn't sure if I had actually had a LD or was dreaming of having an LD. After waking up, I would have memories or trying to WILD and experiencing the sleep paralysis and warping into a dream. The first time, I can't explain what I saw :?. The second time I "warped" into a dream it started like it was an LD but at the same time it seemed like a regular dream. I remember that it felt like I knew I was dreaming then I forgot >_> Soon after in the dream, I remember it felt exactly like regular dream. I'm not sure if the LD faded into a regular dream or it was just a dream of having a lucid dream :eek:. Is this common when trying to have an LD??

In my limited experience, I've encounter a lot of confusing and frustrating experiences. Was I lucid? Was that a dream? Why didn't I recognize X as a dream sign? I think that kind of doubt and self-criticism is common to everyone.

I try to see it all as a learning experience. Dreams differ from time to time and person to person. But we are all trying to achieve lucid dreams. I try to remind myself that it's all a journey. Each uncertain or seeming failure is just a step on the path of our journey. If you stick to your commitment, you'll make it through. Just have faith in your own capacity to learn and adapt.

So, your experience is promising. It doesn't matter so much if you were lucid or not. It only matters that you had an experience and you learned from it. This will give you confidence in your next attempt.
