WHAT am I doing WRONG?
I have been recording my dreams for almost a month, but cant recollect any better than when I started.
I always go to sleep the same time and same time up everyday. I get enough sleep.
When I get up I dont move and I try to remember as much as I can from each dream backtracking from where I can remember.
I regularly study my dream journal and underline and group recurring people, objects, places and emotions. I also use things in the day time where I ask my self everytime I see a picture Ive drawn on the back of my hand "Am I sleeping, am I awake?"
thanks, Fenix.

When it comes to reality checks, it's ok to use external reminders at first, but eventually you need to start remembering to do them on your own. I use to use my phone as a reminder, but I never made progress until I started being aware enough to notice weird things around me, or if I remembered out of nowhere, "I should reality check right now".
But the best thing for DILDs, is overall awareness. If you see anything weird during the day, do a reality check. It doesn't have to be something insane, just something a little out of the ordinary. Like maybe you thought you turned the light off, or maybe someone you don't know called your cell. Reality check to weird things like that. That awareness will carry over into your dreams.
