how real is an LD?
I've only talked to one person who has had a lucid dream and he told me it was like watching a movie that was in the first person view of one of the characters. To me that doesn't sound as real as waking life. He said it wasn't like real life either but still really fun. So my question is, can LD's be so real that despite impossible things happening, they mimic real life?

A dream can be like waking up and going through a few hours through your day and then waking up to see that it didn't actually happen. If you are lucid dreaming and it is no wway near your life then obviously it isn't like real life in the sense that you aren't going through what would be considered a day in your life.

if you have good control, being in a lucid dream is as realistic in real life, sometimes i have to repeat to myself that it is a dream and prove it to myself by doing a RC. however, i have had several lds where the environment and my senses were vague, but that was when i was starting out and thus didnt have good control or experience. however, there is always room for improvement, in my case anyways.

A lucid dream is just a dream where you know you are dreaming. There is a wide range of them. You havn't really lucid dream untill you had one that is the same as real life though. A good lucid dream is the exact same as real life.
