      How to NOT lucid dream?

Alright, now this may be a weird question but recently I find myself having DILDs nightly.

Now, this may not be a bad thing except that since I'm still only a month old at lucid dreaming most of my lucid dreams ends up in me waking up pretty fast and in the middle of the night which results in lack of sleep.

So yeah, when I dream I end up realizing something is wrong and I'm like "Oh shit, I don't want to lucid" but by thinking that I already know I'm dreaming which makes me go lucid anyway.

      So, any help?

Go on auto-pilot all the time. Don't pay any attention to your surroundings. Don't think about lucid dreaming. Etc.

In short, become a zombie mind-slave like the majority of the population. Shouldn't be too hard if you have experience "fitting in."

Alternatively, you could stop yourself from waking up by stabilizing properly.

First, always tell yourself that you are awake. Never perform reality checks and always assume you are not dreaming. Drink plenty of alcohol before going to sleep and pay no attention to the vague dream fragments you can still recollect, and certainly do not write them down. Get a minimal amount of sleep each night to ensure you get the least possible amount of time to dream and therefore to lucid dream. It is important that you remain unaware of any odd dreamlike occurrences throughout your day, and if you accidentally discover any of your dream signs, be sure to ignore them as well.
      While sleeping, watch.

Is the ultimate goal to get more sleep, and avoiding lucid dreams is your method to achieving that goal? If so, why not try stabilizing?

Well, my problem is like I said I wake up pretty fast from lucid dreams, the longest I stayed lucid before waking up was maybe 10 seconds and I got somewhat excited at that time so trying to stabilize it didn't even go through my mind at all.

all the other times were maybe 2 seconds at most.

so it goes something like "Oh shit I'm dreami-" *wake up*

Except, don't follow most of that tutorial, because a majority of those tricks don't work half the time.

Do like the pros do and stabilize via direct sensory stimulation.

Simply put, you need to engage as many dream senses as you possibly can. Grab at something rough, see the detail in the floor beneath you, take a bite out of a tree, smell those cookies baking in the next room, listen to the squeaky voices of the squirrels as they tell you about their day.

The point is to get out of your head and actively turn your attention to the dreamworld around you. If you completely stop paying attention to your surroundings, and get lost in thought, wonderment, or excitement, you will wake up.

I looked for a better one, but I couldn't find my favorite. It's that long one with the title, "Hours of Lucidity" or "Hours of LD".

Yeah, I'd link to that one, but I think it's poorly put together. No worries, though, I summed up all the important points (not related to external stimuli) in about 4 sentences.

Mzzkc I know your sensory stabilazation works very well because sex dreams are always the most stable for me because I have to use all 5 senses. But apparently that doesnt work the same way for everyone but do something else that you need all your senses for like maybe walk down a market road thing where there are a bunch of stands with all different kinds of food and a bunch of people talking and just sit down and relax for a little bit maybe grab a bite to eat of some exotic food.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

I agree with the rest, there's no need to stop LDing.. All you have to do, is stop telling yourself that you don't want to LD and stop getting excited.. Pretty soon, you'll be able to stay in the dream.. and wake up at the right time later...

Although, if you just hate LDing in general.. Just lose lucidity..

Most dreams have a plot, follow the plot.. Or just do something and forget about the "being in a dream" thing...
