hi, im new here. was this a missed lucid dream?

so last night i woke up several times and didnt recall one dream. i almost always recall at least one with a full nights sleep, and i have been writing down short recollections every morning.

one time i woke up, i was laying horizontally across my bed, so that my stomach was on my pillow. the pillow was in its normal place, and my feet were on the nightstand aside my bed. i couldnt move, but i wasnt scared, and saw nothing weird and i didnt hear odd noises. i lay still for awhile, and then kicked my ipod off the table on to the floor. i fell asleep.

i woke up unusually early the next morning (6 am, i usually wake up at 830 during the summer when i have nothing to do. my ipod was on the table. i decided to record thw event as a dream, because my ipod was back right where it was before. was it a false awakening? i should have reality checked. im trying to get into lucid dreaming, but i want my real life to be better than my dreams. i should work on real life a little

sorry for my spelling, im typing from the ipod that "fell" from the table. any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Well there could be several explanations about the iPod falling. The first is like you said, that you actually had a false awakening that you woke up sideways and couldn't move and then kicked off the ipod. That reason makes the most sense. Get into a habit of reality checking when you wake up so you can catch false awakenings and turn them into lucids. Another explanation could have been that you thought you kicked off the iPod, but you really didn't. Since you could have woken up in SP, sights and feelings might of been different than what they really were, so maybe you thought you kicked off the iPod, but you really didn't.

Although from your story, the first explanation makes the most sense.

i think i may have had the same type of experiance sort of, at night i have my alarm set to 4am to help recall and possibly attempt a WILD. anyway a few nights ago i "woke up" and checked my watch, it said like 2:20am or something, afterwitch i went strait back to sleep, and then what felt like a second later my 4am alarm went off, it was really weird, i still dont know if it was a false awakening

it was cool because i didnt know it was a dream till i woke up. i had to use real life things to make an inference, not just remeber a dream. it sucks as a missed opportunity though.
