this morning (this was after i went to sleep again and then i woke up) after i woke up for the second time, I opened my eyes for a little bit but didint move, but then i tried to move and i couldnt. I tried my legs, then my arms and my waist but nothing was working. so then i got a little worried but then i tried my fingers and they moved and then suddenly i was able to move the rest of my body. Was this sleep paralysis or is this something completely different?
It sounds like sleep paralysis. Usually when you try moving your fingers or toes first instead of the rest of your body, you break out of SP faster and easier.
Did you hear any strange noises or anything?
Next time, keep your eyes closed and relax. Then visualize something, you should be able to access another dream. :)

If you don't move, remain calm, and visualize well, it is in my experience a basically sure-fire passageway into a lucid dream :)
This. :banana: Usually SP manifests with some sort of whirring/whoosing/whispering sound, the person feeling vibrations, feeling someone else lying down on their bed... But not always.Quote:

Sometimes you feel numb or you tingle but that doesnt always happen...
Unless you have had an accedent recently or have suffered from something that goes with your nerves then your best bet is blaming it on SP.
And if you can get SP that easilly than you should try WILD although its not normally recommended for beginners.

Yep that was sleep paralysis. You should take the opportunity and lucid dream, since you can go straight from sleep paralysis into a lucid dream if you close your eyes and imagine dreaming. But if you want to wake up for some reason (maybe you just woke up from a nightmare, maybe you are thirst or need to pee) then just wiggle your toes. Once you wiggle your toes you should be able to move your foot a little bit, so move your foot. By now you should be able to move your legs a little bit, and as soon as you do that you should wake up. Also, you can think about scary things and that will actually wake you up. Think of a monster eating you alive for a few seconds and your elevated heartrate will jolt you awake. But you really should take advantage of sleep paralysis, it is a rare occurance and lots of people spend hours every night trying to induce sleep paralysis.
