A-L-C vs. A-L-C Arginate?

Searched here for "Arginate" with no results; my question is: Has anyone experimented with Acetyl-L-Carnitine AND Acetyl-L-Carnitine Arginate, such that you might have some opinion on which may be more promoting of LD likleyhood, if either.

I take both of these every other day as part of a regiment of vitamins/supplements I use. I would say that there is definitely an increase in mental performance, but I'm unsure as to whether or not it helps with dream vividness and recall.

I recall 2-4 dreams a night, so it's hard to tell when stuff is affecting my recall :P
