      Aaah! Laziness?

      Hi,

I have recently found that I am getting lazier with my daily work for MILDing. Is this because of lack of motivation or laziness? How can I remedy it? It's bugging me... I don't want to stop trying to LD, but I am getting alzy and this sucks...

It depends on you, doesn't it?

Try mixing it up a bit, using different techniques. Routine is useful, but if you're bored with it, try something new.

And be realistic with your goals. Consistently doing a little bit is better than doing nothing at all.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

Maybe try writing a big list of reasons why you want to LD. Also, write down what you'd do in your dreams if you could LD every night.

I've found that doing the prospective memory training (as described in ETWOLD) kills many birds with one stone: it keeps me aware and thinking about LDing, and when I see one of the targets I RC.

      sorry can you clarify:
are you getting lazier in doing your work because of LD-ing ?
      or
are you becoming Lazier at LD-ing because of your work?

I think bobblehat hit the nail on the head and answered my question. I wasn't clear about this, but I was more looking for ways to stay motivated. Sorry forr the lack of clarity
