Almost lucid??
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but have been interested in the whole Astral Projection/Lucid Dreaming thing for about a year now.
Anyway, This morning I got up early and went to bed about an hour later. I kept on waking up and falling back asleep until noon, during which I had a few crazy dreams.
One of those times I basically tried to "will" myself into a lucid dream by thinking about the last dream I just woke up from. I think I was borderline between consciousness and Unconsciousness... anyway, my dream started up again.
I was in a McDonalds/Gas Station type place, STILL waiting for the food I ordered in the previous dream :P. While looking around the place, I came across a reflective glass door. For the first time ever in a dream, I consciously decided to perform a reality check. I looked at the reflection, but my face look exactly the same (but for whatever reason I was pretty sure that it was still a dream). Then I noticed another reflection of my face appeared behind the first reflection. Needless to say, it weirded me out and I KNEW something wasn't right.
After that, I'm pretty sure I knew it was a dream... but there was no moment of super lucid clarity or anything like I had heard there would be. Everything was pretty much the same, and was no more vivid then a usual dream. I'm not sure how long the dream lasted after that but I'm pretty it didn't go much longer.
Any thoughts about my experience? Am I close? Any input would be much appreciated, thanks.

Sometimes you can be vaguely aware that you're dreaming without actually consciously knowing it. The definition of lucidity is "being aware that you're dreaming", so if you were aware, it was one.
