OMG! O_O They hold the top two Google slots for lucid dreaming. They are probably moving to a bigger and faster server.
Looks like they forgot to renew their domain name registration. Check out the expiration date:

If a cybersquatter gets it there goes half of our visitors. Is it open for buying or what?
I cannot believe an organizatin of that size would forget to renew...something strange here
Not yet. There is some kind of grace period during which only the owner can re-register -- I think it's 30 days, but I could be wrong about that. If they don't renew within that time, then it will become available for anyone to register. For now, they've just de-activated the name and pointed it to their own generic page.Quote:

To do a "whois" lookup, go to: http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
As long as this still shows that it's registered to Stephen LaBerge, nobody else should be able to register the name.

Do you think that the Lucidity Institute is a huge organization? I do not know the extent of their work but it seems to me that the whole organization is no more then 3-6 persons including LaBerge. Am I wrong?
I last corresponded with someone affiliated with Lucidity.com on Mar 7, 2005. I will email her and see what I can find out.
It's really hard to forget to renew because most companies send a remind letter when your domain is about to expire. I fully agree with Seeker.Quote:

I disagree. I used to work for web hosting companies -- people would forget to renew their domains all the time. Often, the reminder email would be snared by a spam filter, or simply be ignored. And if the company has moved, and didn't update their address with the domain registrar, they probably won't receive a reminder by postal mail, even if one is sent.Quote:

Basically, a lot of people who have web sites really don't understand how the process works. They either assume that the domain name is theirs for life, or that the web hosting company is responsible for it.
Just spoke with Keelin, from the Lucidity Institute.

Dear Rodrigo,
Please try again. It would appear someone had a bit of mischief with our
site overnight, but it's back (and hopefully won't be fooled with again!).
Certainly inspired a reality test this morning when I saw it.
We're still having a problem with any email to lucidity.com, so please
continue to use this address until the problem gets resolved.
Many sweet lucid dreams to you!
Keelin[/b]
The domain is still not working for me...
And there's a perfect example of someone who doesn't understand how it works. There's been no "mischief". The domain name registrar has simply re-directed their domain name until the renewal fee is paid. That's why their email isn't working, too.
Well, the web designers might not have finished the Web Page. I happen to know that the Alta web site is titled "Untitled Document" B/c the web designers didn't finish it yet.....at least that is what I think.
OK, nesgirl, the site was there before. It's gone now. It is finished and has gone.
Well, maybe they are having technical difficulties, like this site & my site did before. I bet the administrator of that site is working on it, like icedawg did!Quote:

Please see my post above regarding the domain name registration. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.
Well, end of discussion.
http://www.lucidity.com is alive and kicking again.
Maybe it was just a false awakening in the dream world :-)
Yep, they apparently paid the renewal fee. They're now registered through 2007:

And it proves that they only paid the bill after we had this discussion. Probably they did not saw the problem, only after I contacted then...Quote:

Don't you mean, "they didn't 'see' the problem?" You need to work on your grammer!Quote:

Cerebusdreamer, I would never have known that english was not your primary language.. your posts are better written than some I've seen here.
Maybe that's because native speakers don't need to learn the language as it's natural. So they don't often know grammar too well. At least that's what most of my English teachers have said ;)Quote:
