Would Anyone Be Interested in This? (Game)

Hey everyone! First off, are you dreaming? ;)

Anyway, I have been into game programming etc for a while now, and I have a program that I can make 3D games with. I was wondering if anyone would be interested if I made a simple one where basically you would just run around/fly in interesting scenery with 'soothing' music in the background that would basically just put you in a relaxed state, and get ready for dreaming?

I was thinking this could be played 30mins~ before bed.

Hey EW09, yeah man I think that would be a good idea. I'm not sure how much impact it would have when you fall asleep, but it couldn't hurt right?

I was thinking I could add some type of optional binaural beats to be played through headphones. I think it would just.. "get you in the mood" if that makes any sense

Sounds like a good idea to me, and it would be cool to have some basic powers besides flying, but i don't know if you have time for that. It's just a suggestion. Like if there were other people around and you could lift them in the air or light them on fire. :D

Well, without making it too much of a hastle. Ummm, I wouldn't mind some cliffs, like big mountain cliffs..i don't know how hard this stuff is to design, or how long it takes.. that you could like fly by the face of the cliff for a while i don't know. maybe jump off fall for a while then fly, or something. that would probably take forever to code though

There's always possibilities! And I would definitely be updating it. I plan on adding some random NPC's that ask you if you're dreaming etc. Also a town where there is some "Dream Guides" that can tell you things about Lucid Dreaming/Fun facts about them

The camera angles/views are changeable, you can zoom out to a 3rd person view, or zoom in for 1st. Also, the cliffs etc won't be too much work. It's not really coding, more map-making. The flying, I'm not sure.

I think it may take a while to make it look semi-good, but I'll give it a try. Ill post a thread once it's done, so look out :D Meanwhile, post suggestions etc!

This sounds like it would be neat. That would be pretty freaking awesome if it was multiplayer and you can log on using your dreamviews account and interact with other dreamviews members. But that would be a lot of hassle I bet.

Would it be possible to include time? Like the sun rising and setting, daytime/night time.

Also, I think it would be cool if there was a city with skyscrapers and all that.

Like Fly Guy in 3D?

Anyone heard of Prototype? It's an open-world game where you can like jump and fly around and you kill zombies etc.
That would be a perfect game to play before sleeping, unfortunately the game doesnt seem to work on my damn computer :/

The multilayer would be possible, but limited to about ~30 on at once since it would have to connect to me, unless I somehow get money for a server.

Connecting to your dream views account wouldn't work unless I worked out some arrangement with the Admin to get all the logins/passwords, which I doubt will happen. I won't start production until tomorrow night, and will hopefully get far over the weekend. It may take a while, but please keep posting suggestions so I have more of an idea of what you all are looking for! I'm most likely going with a relaxing binaural beat, but with some background noises so it doesn't get annoying. There would definitely be pop-ups about reality checks etc. along with the Dream Guides that I mentioned. Possible random ones walking around in the middle of a forest and so on.

You should make hostile DCs so there's something to fight, and you should make the dream guide kinda like your partner or mentor who tutors you on lucid dreaming and how to play the game.

does anybody have time to collab on this to make it more interesting/ easier for creator? Like make npc scripts and etc. I feel like there should be an ending to the gameor some time related event, not just flying around endlessly in an empty virtual reality? What about a random like password type gen that you have to tell an npc later in the game to mimic the MILD concept of "remembering to carry out an act in the near futue", keeping the mind alert in a relaxed setting. However has anybody else found that they have rather erratic dreams falling asleep after spending time on the comp or watching tv? How aout gaming?

Wish I knew how to code to help. But I think the other suggestions are good but I don't know how hard it will be for this guy to do it so if anyone knows how to make this stuff, they should say so. and louie, haven't talked with you for awhile. and your post made me think of LoZ: Ocarina of Time. :D

The software I use is single-use only, so I couldn't have someone else work with me. The language is specific to the program, so you would have to learn that also. I think we can get it done, though
