      What is a dream goal?

Is it essentially something you plan on doing in your dream when you're lucid? Is there anywhere on this site I can store my goals for reference?

A dream goal is something you want to accomplish in a dream, not really different from a normal goal. I see a lot of people post their dream goals in their signature.

      Yeah, pretty much.

Now, here's the significance of the idea. When you're in a dream, if you try to just wing it and come up with something to do, you'll probably pick the first wierd ass thought to jump into your head (I've had it happen numerous times), or something you've done plenty of times before. Then you'll wake up and wonder why you didn't think to do something cooler. Picking a goal beforehand and setting your intention to peform the task in your next lucid dream is, thus, very helpful for accomplishing things you want to do. I think this is even more important for newer lucid dreamers.

You can store them in your dream journal online or your waking journal. Dream goals aren't limited to just tasks you want to do the next time you achieve lucidity either. Maybe you want to remember a certain amount of dreams per night, or get a certain amount of lucids per month. They're things to push you towards lucidity and things to propel you beyond. Personally I always have a higher lucid rate when i'm trying to get a certain amount of lucids per month, but once I start getting into the rhythm, I incorporate certain tasks into my goals to keep things interesting.
