Texts in dream
My dreams rarely have long texts in them (books or smth). So last night in lucid I remembered that you should only see random text in books and can even do a reality check that way. I was at home and grabbed a book I had read in real life. Everything was pretty much as I remembered it. I even turned the next page and sentence continued. Then I opened it from random page and it was still as good.
I don't remember ever seeing gibberish text in my dreams.
I was wondering how many of you have experienced something like this?

I can easily read and re-read text several times in a dream, have even read dream books, it is just that not being able to is more common.

I can read fine :) Although I don't read that much in dreams, just if there's a note for me or a poster or something like that. I'm too busy getting into the action... :cheeky:

The text reality check doesn't work for me either. I've read pages of books in dreams before that made complete sense and I've looked away and looked back and it remains consistent. I think it has to do with the way you think. Words have significance to me in real life (I think in text a lot) so maybe it's a strength of people who are able to dream this way?

I can reread text in dreams, and it won't change; I've seen signs on the street that read properly. I've also written legible stuff while lucid. Other than that, I don't have any other experience with text.

In my dreams last night, there were signs and even a newspaper with legible text. However, when I woke up, I could only remember the meaning of what I'd read, not the precise wording (with the sole exception of the name of the newspaper, The Syntax.)
