False dreams.
Not false LUCID but just regular dreams that arent really dreams. Two times recently I have been aware that there was no real dream while I was asleep. The most recent was when I fell asleep while reading a book. I remembered putting the book book down but the story continued in my head. After a while I realized that i was still hearing the words of the story but I wasnt reading. I realized that it was just coming from my own mind but I wasnt even trying to think of it. I knew i was asleep because everything was black and I didnt even have a body. I was nothing but my consciousness. I had no body and no enviroment. My thoughts were hey this is kinda like a dream maybe I can control it. No theres no way there isnt any dream material that i can use to help. I didnt even try to make anything out of it because it seemed impossible.

I'm not sure what you mean by false dream... From what you said, those are dreams. In fact, since you become conscious they're lucid dreams. Lucid dreaming is all about expectation, so if you expect that you won't be able to form a dream around you, guess what you're gonna get.

That IS a dream, haven't you heard of the theory behind Non-REM dreams? They are like thoughts apparently, so yeah, you were having a dream.
-
So it was a dream but in non REM sleep? I thought that wasnt possible.
-
Nah, just one of the many myths of dreaming, totally possible.

Well like you said it was just like thoughts. well thoughts if thats all I was just something that thinks with no body. That was my clue that I was asleep that I didnt have a body anymore and there was no enviroment.

I find myself talking on the phone or surfing the internet while in a "false dream" all the time. I know I'm dreaming, but it's not really being lucid, and I'm not sure it's really dreaming either. It's kind of like a hallucination, I dunno.

That sounds like a dream to me. Why I say it was a false dream is because it had no substance
