Someone give me hope please!

Hi guy, i've been trying lucid dreaming for about 3 weeks now (few times i didnt do cuz of forgetting/laziness to wake up).
In the first week i had 2 lucid dream, but after that week, i stopped having them for some reason.
This happened to my cousin also, his first week he also had 2 lucid, but never had them again after that (started about the same time as i did, few days apart).

Also the weird part is that our 2nd lucid dream was both about flight/flying.
So there's 2 connection here, anyone know why? O.o

But yea...
can anyone give me advice on how to get lucid again, i really want it, i am trying!

Dont worry about it, if anything the stress of being frustrated could cause problems. It took me over a month to have my first lucid. I'm sure its just coincidense that you both had similar dreams, you probably both wanted to fly as a lucid goal.

In my experience I haven't been able to really control when I have a lucid dream. But I do know that when I do, I have to react very carefully to the lucidity, otherwise I wake up.

Basically, If I realize there's a time in the dream where I know what's going on in the plot and feel like I can do something about it, I go along with that and do whatever I want, but I can't be all "WHOA! I'm lucid!" cause then I wake up.

After realizing how I have to deal with a lucid dream, I noticed that I was actually having a lot of them, I just tended to screw them up. If I screw up a dream, I won't remember it besides maybe the general topic, but if I can actually use the lucidity, I tend to remember all of it.

Try not to stress Omnilucid. You're ahead of me -- I've been trying for over 2 months, with no success yet. But I never, ever feel stressed, because I'm confident that it's just a matter of time. I'm sure you'll find it's true for you as well -- now that you've experienced lucidity, you know you can achieve it, so just look forward to your next lucid experience.

When you first hear of lucid dreaming you are most likely highly intrigued by it, which is reflected in your intention to achieve it . And it is probably strengthened by the urge to experience the unknown. To continue with a similar success rate, you must try to recapture how you felt when you first attempted to achieve lucidity. You intention to achieve it must be unwavering and fixated; you should be cognitively and emotionally involved with achieving that goal.

I noticed the same thing, at first you start off really good, then it dies down a bit, just keep trying the methods and do reality checks daily. Try doing mantra meditation. Just sit in the meditation posture, nice and relaxed, become really relaxed by the way. Start reciting a mantra, such as "I will become lucid in dreams" or any other mantra that can convey the same meaning.

Rc Checks, being relax, try on your days off work, i find hard to lucid dream if i have a lof of work on, also if your mind is in a happy state its way eaiser.

We all go through dry spells occasionally. Don't stress about it. Just keep trying, and you will be lucid again. Maybe this is a good time to mix things up and try a fresh technique.
