WILD induced DILD Technique

I have been trying to induce LD for the past 4 weeks and have had some success but not consistent. However, I figured out that (almost) every time I fail with WILD, I succeed with DILD the same night or following morning. So far without WILD I had only one DILD (despite of all the RCs and awareness practice I do in the day). But nearly 10 DILDs (brief ones though) when I failed with WILD in the same night.

So, I tried WILD last night to see if I will have a DILD. And it WORKED. I tried WILD immediately after going to bed. I know we have to try WILD after 3-4 hours of sleep. But this is a deliberate recipe to fail so I just went ahead. I didn't move for nearly 45 mins and focused on the HI and did get some mild vibration but nothing more than that. I just turned to my position and slept after 50 mins I guess. I had a very vivid DL around 4 AM and it was DILD. I became aware in the dream and thought to myself "Wait a min, this place is totally strange and so are these people". I did my usual RC (pinch nose - breath) and went lucid.

I'm going to try again tonight and see it works consistently. Guys who are trying DILD, try this and see if it helps you too.

Yah man, I noticed that about 60% of my failed WILD's result in me having a DILD later on that night. Not sure why but eh, its a LD :)

I have had this before. I had assumed that it was how WILD worked? i thought i had successfully WILDed. Lol, i guess not.

My technique to try and WILD is also my tech for DILD, so I am always trying to do both. I always wake up 4-6 times a night though, so that makes it easier. :)

Ha! Same here - I had DILDs before - but since joining on here and trying for WILD - this has resulted in all the 6 LDs I had (incl. only two longer ones).
Maybe knowing this hinders me a bit with incubating a pure DILD - I concentrate my hopes on this effect - secondary to actual WILD, which I didn´t manage yet.
So I got a bit lazy with daytime stuff..
But at least there seems to be a nicely installed expectation going with my efforts by now!
