LD Confrontation
Was just wondering if other people have had any interesting experiences where you are lucid and confront a dream character(s) with the knowledge that you are dreaming.
I usually keep the fact that I'm dreaming to myself in my dreams because strange things often happen and mentioning my lucidity almost always kills the conversation and often wakes me up as well.
For example not long ago I had a dream was talking to 2 people I didn't really know about nothing in particular. Then I mentioned, "You guys know this is a dream right?" A split second after the last word left my mouth everything froze and the background went bright white while a loud staticy noise rang in my ears. The strangest thing of all though was that when all this happened 2 more figures had instantly appeared. All 4 of the people were blurred/distorted and were only black/white with no other color and with dark shadows for eyes. The scene remained frozen in time with all 4 of them staring at me and the noise in my head for like around 5 minutes before the dream faded and I woke up. I couldn't move at all during that time and nobody said anything it just felt like everything got paused or something.
Another time when I was talking to someone and mentioned that I was lucid they just turned around and walked off then vanished without speaking another word to me.
Anyone else have similar experiences?

Similar things have happened to me, for some reason my DCs can be very stubborn sometimes. When I was younger, like first school, I remember having Lucids, it would quite often go like this- I'd be with my friends from school, just talking and I'd say "Guess what, I'm in a dream right now!" and they'd be all like "no you're not" and they'd get really argumentative about it and swear I was wrong and I'd nearly always end up goin "FINE I'LL PROVE IT TO YOU" and wake myself up and then I'd be like "see..damnit i'm awake now" D: Anway, point being I find that some DCs womt accept it or listen, so I don't generally let them know. I like it that way cos I always feel like I know more than them (even though they are essentially me).
However, quite recently I told a DC i was dreaming in order to gain control. Basically he'd broke into my house and was going through my stuff and kept ignoring me so I ended up shouting "THIS IS MY DREAM SO YOU LISTEN TO ME" and he did.
Hope this helped in some sort of way, I've never really thought much about this tbh, so I wonder how many other experience the same sort of thing? :)

I normally end up having to prove to dream characters that it is a dream. Good excuse to show off some cool tricks.

That was funny that you had to prove to your DCs that you were dreaming. Last time (and only time) they just said, "Awesome!!" and continued with what they were saying.

My DC's always smile mysteriously at me whenever I am lucid. They don't say much either. If the DC is a friend or family, they are usually very happy. Last time I woke up just a few seconds after I asked my friend; "Hey dude, you know this is a dream right?"

I've only directly mentioned to a DC the fact that I was dreaming in one dream. I passed a group of teenage girls, and asked them "Am I dreaming?" (I was already lucid at this point and wanted to see their response). One responded in a bratty fashion: "No, I don't think so." and kind of looked at me like i was an idiot. :?

My DC's seem to always know that everything's a dream.
When I was alot younger, I had a dream where I was walking with this boy, then I went lucid and told him this is all a dream.
He responded with "I know." That's when I woke up.

Yes, this happens to me too DC usually stop talking and start staring at me it freaks me out really. However in one non-lucid dream DC actually told me that it is a dream and was open to everything after that I must say it felt like im sharing dream with another person. I think that my DC already know that its a dream - they do fly with me if I want them to etc. But when I meantion "you know this is a dream right?" everything just fall apart.

My dream characters tend to be pretty compliant when I do take the direct approach. I'll have the occasional dream where the main intent is to have a subconscious conversation, so once I get into a 'dream world', I'll just saunter on up to the first character I see and start in on it. Kinda, "Since you're just a manifestation of my own subconscious, talking to you is basically talking to myself.." Or whatever.
Once in a while, I'll come across one with a little more pluck that won't just immediately play along. Some have claimed to be other people, or external entities, or something independent. Even had a couple claiming Godhood, haha.
