Some Strange Things...
I haven't been on this site in about a year. I stopped purposely trying to LD because it seemed to be getting in the way of my normal life, I had a hard time getting through the day because all I wanted to do was get back to sleep and dream. Even though I wasn't trying, I was still getting an LD about once or twice a month.
Recently though, my dreams began to change. I haven't had a nightmare in years, now I'm getting about one a month. I always wake up screaming, but not quite. I think I wake up in an FA, dreaming that I'm in SP. Either that or I actually wake up in SP, except only semi-conscious. I say that it might be a dream because I can usually force myself to move just enough to do an RC, and it always turns out that I'm dreaming. Then I tell myself I'm dreaming, and I should be able to move, but it's always hard to move.
Whenever this happens I'm in my room, and my door is shut. I find that I have a hard time going through the door. I usually just try to walk through the closed door, for some reason I dont think to open it. Then I fly down the stairs, and out the window into my front lawn. If i cant get through my bedroom door, I fly out my bedroom window. I usually dont get too far before I wake up, and I usually dont think to do anything cool, just fly around.
I'm wondering if anyone else experiences difficulty moving in an LD? Even when I dont start out in SP, I always have a hard moving as soon as I go lucid. Sometimes I cant even open my eyes.
I'm bringing this up right now because I took a 3 hour nap today and this happened to me 5+ times. SP, Lucid, finally get up, struggle with the door, go downstairs, fly out window, wake up. Does anyone else have these problems? Do you have any tips to overcome it?

I have had this happen a few times and I remember a discussion about it on here. I think the best thing we came up with is, it is just an unstable LD. What time was your nap after waking up from regular sleep? Perhaps you wasn't in a deep REM?

My opinion is that you are not giving the dream enough time to develop and stabilize. So next time, dont try to move around, just sit down and relax, wait for the dream to stabilize and then go around moving and flying.
Good luck.
