      Family member already had LDs

After asking most members of my family and friends if they understood what Lucid Dreams are. Most did not and some don’t even want to hear about it. Then I asked my son-in-law of 2 years what he thought about knowing your dreaming wile dreaming and he said it happens to him all the time. He will talk about it like it’s a normal thing that everybody does. Well just to be sure I asked him point blank, how do you know your not dreaming right now. He simply stated because I can’t walk threw walls. He said he almost always knows he dreaming when dreaming. He just didn’t know there were people that don’t and have to work at it. It sure must be the envy of everyone that has to work to achieve it. But I found that some people that LD naturally may not realize many of the other benefits such as dream control etc. So I’m still able to teach a few things to a natural.

Blah!!! I know! I had the most annoying conversation with my sister. She didn't believe me when I told her that not everyone can have lucid dreams, and that some people don't know what they are...and have to try really hard to have them. She just figured it was something everyone does. Man did that piss me off.

I showed her this website and one of the topics in the Last 15 Active Topics that caught her eye was..."Foods that increase dream recall" or something like that. She thought it was hilarious.

I asked my next-door neighbor about it. She said she has them all the time and talked as if they were a natural occurrence. I just stood there like, "You don't know how I'm feeling," but didn't say anything. I've only had 6 short ones (minus the ones I can't recall) since last July.

Make sure that kid knows what he's doing, though. That's a gift he may like to have later in life... or not. Whatever floats his boat

Yes I try to get everyone interested that will listen. I think my brother is starting to hear what I am saying. He has a daughter that is a physiologist. I asked him if he had asked her about the subject and he said, no not yet. I am waiting to see what the answer to that inquirer will be.

I've talked to a few people about it. Most people look at me with 'The Look', you know the one reserved for kooks.

However, my son seems to be turning into quite a lucid dreamer lately. He has started asking me questions on how to create things in dreams. Sigh, unfortuneately though he wants to create swords and guns so he can fight with dream characters..

Dreamtamer, just noticed you have a son-in-law? Good to have another old geezer like me around here

Yea, But as a dreamer I feel like an infant. There really is so much to learn and we know (as old geezers) from experience any thing worth having is worth working for.
