Would telling yourself to remember your dream in your dream help you remember?

Say you went lucid, and you told yourself to remember the dream upon waking up. Would it work?

I'm no expert, but I think it would. I sounds kind of like autosuggestion to me. Before you go to sleep you tell yourself that you want to remember your dreams to increase recall.
So yes, in my unprofessional opinion I think it would work.
