LucidWiki - the future reference for all things lucid?

I have recently applied for the creation of a 'LucidWiki' wiki at www.wikicities.com. If you are wondering what the heck wiki is, it is a collection of documents that anyone can edit and extend. See www.wikipedia.com for a blinding example. I really do hope that if this application is to be accepted (I cannot see a reason why it should not) that the wiki will become a popular place to share knowledge on the subject.

I will inform you when I get a reply.

For now, can you please comment on the idea, whether it is good or not, whether you think it is to be sucessful, and whether you are willing to contribute.

There is already a wiki on lucid dreaming at wikibooks.com.

EDIT: Being as the wikicities site is currently telling me that "Ce domaine vient d´être enregistré pour l'un de nos clients !" (take that information to heart) i'm not totally sure about the reliability of it either.

Agh! I had the same reply from pasQuale at ld4all. That's mearely one book (and yes I did know of it's existance beforehand). I'm talking about a whole community-based project with seperate articles on everything to do with lding and (I hope, eventaually) a dream journal system.

It ain't in my mind. I've already written a pretty hefty mission statement (in wiki), and it isn't the same thing, it isn't limited to the chapter structure of a book. So there. Naanaa! If you ever become involved in the project (or if the project ever becomes involved), You've just lost the title of King Extraordinaire.

I think it's a good idea though you need to work a lot, or get a bunch of other people to help you, to get enough information there.

Big news! Thanks to good old Angela at lucidcities.com, LucidWiki has eeked an existance. 'Tis nothing, at the moment of course, but someday...

And by the way, please don't touch it yet. I'll cut the ribbon when I feel it has enough backbone.

Anyway, I think it's quite pointless to not show everybody the wikicity in construction. See the info page and the wikicity itself.

Identity X is IDX.

The last change was on 18 April. There are 8 pages, with a total of 16 edits between them. (See Special:Statistics, Special:Recentchanges.)

In true wiki spirit, IDX has protected the main page as well as the mission statement. (See Special:Log/protect.)

I agree that a wiki and wikibook are completely different. Dont see why anything has to be protected though? I think we should encourage people to contribute anything they can.

The main area of focus is writing about sites. Thus, you may be interested in:

Every other article also needs work.

I think that all of us who are involved with WILD should collaborate and start building a lexicon, where appropriate, for all the new concepts, occurences, and phenomena that we are discovering, in order to make WILD easier. What I mean to say is, we should start naming the as of yet unnamed things! This is a new science, remember. Classico's "black hole effect" was a real good one and opened my eyes what other possibilties there might be. LucidWiki could be an invaluable tool.
