Semi-Lucid Dreams
Hey guys.
So recently I have been having these "semi-lucid" dreams.
For example- the other night when I realized I was dreaming, I wasn't really able to teleport myself anywhere else. My dream just continued to take place in the setting that it was in. I made people appear and we were enjoying everything outside like I wanted, but then we all got attacked by bears. I knew it wasn't real and decided to fight them off (and was successful).
Another example was last night I realized I was dreaming, I was actually able to slowly transform the area around me into a place similar to what I had imagined. But then after a while of me exploring my new world, I forgot I was dreaming and my dream just went crazy. I started driving around and all of a sudden my car shifted gears and I started moving backwards on the highway. But I thought it was real. :/
I dunno- does anyone have any suggestions as to how to maintain a strong, constant lucid dream?
Thanks!

hmmm you can do lots of stuff to help maintain lucidity. theres actually a section called dream control that will have TONS of help and tips. From my own experiance though, try doing reality checks even if you are positive that you are in a dream because it can immerse yourself better into the dream and give you better control.

There isn't really any such thing as a 'semi-lucid' dream. Either you are aware it is a dream and it is lucid, or it isn't. It seems that your problem lies with dream control.
I recommend you check out the Dream Control section of the forums for more information on this subject.
Hope that helps.

I've had similar experiences Topher. I've found that often I know that I'm dreaming, but I have no idea who I am or what dream goals I have set. To help / fix this I simply make sure I enter the LD at a better time in my REM cycle, or simply WILDing instead of DILDing fixes it from the very beginning of the dream.
My advice is to try a WILD (if you haven't already,) then read one of these articles on how to stay lucid.
Good luck!
