Are you referring to the number of dreams or the quality of the recall? Here's what I have to offer regarding the number of dreams:
For me (and I think most people?), I can only recall one dream after each waking. So to improve my recall count per night, it's more about getting myself to wake up after each REM period than it is about memory. To do this, I use intent and I just try to get a lot of good quality, restful sleep. It also helps to have everything ready at the corner of my bed so that I don't need much effort or willpower to turn over and write down the dream. I have pen and notebook and a little touch light right on the corner of my bed. As I go to bed, just knowing that I am prepared helps build the intent to wake up.
I've heard of other tricks in that vein of trying to wake up, like drinking water before bed or of course using an alarm. Perhaps other people have more ideas.
The problem is chemical so having a DJ wouldn't really help much. So the best way is Vit B or some other supplement that would give your dreaming experience a boost and maybe a lucid dream.
