Where did you read that?
I always dream in color, I've not heard any stories of dreams without color.
Actually, its rare to dream w/b, don't remember who said that it is rare, but that is just a myth.
This is a quote from Wikipedia. "A small minority of people say that they dream only in black and white."
As for myself, I dream in color.
As far as I know, I always dream in color. I can see people maybe coming to that conclusion because most people, I think, have terrible memories of their dreams, so they won't specifically remember color, just as we don't specifically remember how vivid our dreams are once we wake up and they seem like vague memories. (Most people, that is, including me before starting my dream journal.)
Oh I must have been mistaken. It must be rarer to dream in b/w but who would want to anyway?
P
yes with color and lots of it. lol
I always dream in color.
Though I have had a black and white dream before. But maybe only a few times or only once
When I was a kid someone told me that dreams are in black and white. Being a vivid dreamer at the time, I didn't believe that. But I couldn't remember for sure about the colors. So I made a point to remember the color of something in my next dream. I woke up remembering watching a red car drive down the road. The person was obviously wrong.
My friend asked if my dreams were in color and I said every night. He claims to have also read somewhere that the majority of people dream in b/w. When I asked him what about your dreams, are they in color? He was baffled for a bit and said I think so lol
Ya I totaly dream in color. My sister said that her friend said that she dreams in black in white and that most people dream in black and white. ROFL I think its definitly a myth that most people do. Its more like the other way around. A small amount of people may atleast think they dream in black and white but that is probably because they forgot what the colors were like Dianeva said. I'd really like to know were people heard that though.
I dream in color, sometimes it's vivid sometimes it's dull. Sometimes the background is black and white, but the ones I can see clearly are in color.
I always dream in color, never black and white. But I've always wondered (I hope this doesn't sound insensitive) if blind people see when they dream?
Many claim to dream normally with vivid imagery, but for people born blind, no one really knows if they see as we do or not. Everything might look strange and distorted and unrealistic to them, but they don't know the difference, so it's difficult to conclude anything.
Yup I always dream in color.
i heard around the 1940's around 25% of the population dreamed in black and white, but when the color television came out the percentage dropped down to about 5%
If I remember something in my dream, I remember its colour.
I'm Canadian, and I'm supposed to spell it 'colour' but I usually spell it 'color', unless I'm writing an essay for an English class or something. I think I started doing that years ago when I learned HTML and the word 'color' comes up a lot, everything in computer programming is Americanized.
I find that hard to believe. I'll assume it isn't true unless I see better evidence. (I'm not asking you for evidence. You just heard it somewhere, and probably don't remember where.)
I feel like I always dream in color. I see no reason why our minds wouldn't allow it.
