"Teaching" dream characters and problem with dream anchor

I became lucid during a dream this morning and in it, I ran into a DC version of my cousin. After a bit of convincing, I was able to get the DC to beleive it was all a dream but no matter which technique I tried to teach it, the DC couldn't do it. I showed it how to moon-jump (I'm horrible at flying), how to move things around without touching them, how to summon/create objects or people, etc but regardless of how thoroughly I explained and how hard it tried, it couldn't do anything out of the ordinary. Since the DC is just a projection of my subconscious, shouldn't it have been able to do everything I believed it could do?

Also, my anchor seems to be failing me. I like to use my sense of taste to stabilize my dreams so when I found a clove of garlic during my dream, I grabbed it and started munching away. As usual, it stabilized the dream and increased the clarity instantly but it made my mouth water. Like a lot. So much so that my real body started swallowing which led to slight destabilization. I was eventually able to ignore my physical body for a while but then the same thing happened and I eventually woke up. I never ran into this before but if it persists, it could be a problem since it renders my most effective anchoring method useless. Anyone know of a fix?

It's not green :shock:

Anyway could you do a differient anchor? Like sight?

Oh and it's probably just a mental block (like you not being able to fly)

I can use other anchors but tasting things just seemed to work best. It's always worked before, just a little confused as to why this was the only time my physical body felt the need to swallow.

As for the mental block, when I was younger I always thought Superman was lame and that Spiderman's way of getting around was much better. I'm pretty sure that's why I have trouble flying but can leap around/swing with relative ease. When it comes to the DC though, I'm absolutely clueless as to why I couldn't get it to do anything I was doing. Like, I had no trouble doing these things myself and firmly believed the DC could do it but it still failed.

Just posting to say thanks. I figured out why the anchor wasn't working during a WILD today, my mouth started watering again so I reached in and pulled out a wad of gum (the gum symbolized a mental block). I had two other WILDS this morning and, keeping the possibility of a mental block in mind, I was able to interpret them - leading to several epiphanies/revelations.

I'm not sure that all DC are subconscious manifestations.

As a kid, besting my nightmares had become a bit old hat. One dream, a Slaughterhouse amalgam of Leatherface and Jason was chasing me in an alleyway, and I thought, "What am I doing running?" I jumped into the air and started flying into the night. But then I thought, "Wait... if *I* can fly... what's stopping him fr...", and suddenly I heard the chainsaw chasing after me through the sky.

I opted to wake myself up that night, lol

I don't think you TEACH them, I think YOU have to realize they're projections just like the furniture. If you can make the remote fly through the room, you can do the same with them. IMO

Yeah, I think so. When you're lucid, I think the idea of "giving" them power is threatening, but if YOU will it, they can do things. It's like being the puppeteer, holding their strings and the strings attached to their flying lightsaber or whatever it is. It gives you and them the illusion they're doing it, but you're ultimately in control.

I have had both OOBE and lucid dreams and started both at roughly the same time and that may influence how I see these "extra human entities." In my 25 years of experience and experiments, in both OOBE and LDs, my experience had led me to conclude that there are 2 kinds of DCs. The usual DC is a creation of your mind, usually subconscious but can also be consciously created. To separate the two I call these types replicants, partly because it sounds cool (Bladerunner) and because that is what they are, replications of what you expect. Technically a replicant can be anything but when replicating humans they tend to do and be what you expect them to be. You can't trick a replicant, they know what you know and are plugged into your subconscious. The real test for them is to see if they exist without your attention. If you turn away and attend to other things are they still there when you bring your attention back? I have lost many replicated objects and people like this and spent many nonlucid dream hours looking for keys, cars, and people that disappeared as soon as I took my attention off of them.(I still do this all too much and it drives me crazy once I am awake)

Then there are the "dreamers". These are people like you and I blissfully dreaming away whom we come in contact with while in our own dreams. Dreamers are there no matter where your attention shifts. They also are able to surprise you and don't always do what you expect, like just get up and leaving when you thought no one would, or even desired, that no one would. Dreamers are typically not too interactive with you, they are in their own dream with their own desired outcomes. Dreamers are also typically hard to snap out of their dream, its hard to get or keep their attention and it is just as hard to convince them they are dreaming.

Then there are a lot of other types that show up which are not DCs but usually are rare such as entities that have never been human nor do they wish to be. When they are friendly these can be seen as DC or DGs sometimes since they usually have conscious knowledge available on how to manipulate dreams or an OOBE.

I have also seen quite a bit of evidence in my experiences to believe that we also come into regular contact with our probable selves (they are us but have made different choices in life). They impart knowledge to you that they have learned and you do the same to them. If you have a strong otherwise unexplainable desire or affinity for something I have seen, at least in me, it coming from what seems like these other me's. This has some dangerous aspects which I wont go into much here but have thrown me for a few hard loops and taught me some hard earned humility. I think it is this danger as to why we don't hear more about this, we are shielding ourselves from realizing it when we come across it for protection. The connection and power between probable selves is very strong and is sort of like the "third rail" of spirituality, its best not to fool with it unless you both know how to close that door once you open it and you expect to get burned. Not all our probable-selves are nice people but they all have direct connections into the deepest recesses of our soul, best to keep them at a distance until youre sure.

Sadly I have not seen much activity from past lives or futures ones, there is a lot of talk about these but I just have not seen it much over my my experience or from any one that I have ever known.

I fully realize this smacks in the face of many peoples beliefs but I am answering you based on what I have observed, good and bad, for many years.
