We are the same people, I swear! I gave up about a month ago and quit keeping up on my DJ. I quit reality checking and I only sparingly thought about LDing. And then I had my first LD EVER last night. |

I quit lucid dreaming a month back or so, because I gave up and didn't think it was possible for me. Then later today when I took a nap it happened, but I was trying to WILD beforehand and slept differently then I usually do. Before this I did have dream recall but didn't really write them down often as I used to, and I didn't do reality checks because I didn't think they would become a habit but I did a RC in this lucid dream out of knowing. |

As children we believe anything is possible. As adults, we need to remember it.
you quit dreaming but were trying to wild? or just quit rc and the journal. anyway i ditched the journal a while ago and rc's became a hastle so i stopped. the journal is for recall and recognizing dream signs, and if you dont have dreamsigns and naturally good recall it is not necessary (but that dosent mean you shouldnt have one). as for rc's, they can help too but more often than not they are to check to make sure you are lucid, not to actually become lucid (though some people become lucid from them). these things are recommended and in most cases helpful, but you dont really need them. they dont really help with lucid quality that i know of, unless the rc also stabalizes the dream which they often do in my case. |
