I told someone about lucid dreaming after they saw it, I told them that it's possible to do whatever they want in their dreams. Next thing I know they bring a totem to school and think they're going to master it in one night. I told them it takes a bit more work than spinning a top ever couple hours. They completely lost interest and as far as I know haven't given LDing a thought since. I think that's where the general public is with lucid dreaming, most people would want to but couldn't be bothered. So it probably could never truly be mainstream.
Speaking of scams...anyone remembers the "stop drop and roll" bulls**t? What´s the name of the guy who was spreading misinformation? I cant remember it.... I saw his video once on youtube, and i laugh my a** of whe he said "you will have LOTS and LOTS of OBE´s each night"

I immediatly imagine myself trying to get to the fridge for a glass of milk in the middle of the night, and keep falling on the floor due to the "LOTS and LOTS of OBE´s"
