Opening your eyes, but staying in the dream.

I had a lucid last night where I was following my friends and then I started getting chased by a dog. I escaped from the dog, but my friends were up ahead of me. I then started to lose visuals and I fell over. I started crawling on the ground towards them yelling at them completely blind. I wondered if I could reopen my dream eyes and regain visuals. I tried, but I ended up opening my real eyes. I could see my bed and my blanket, but I was still in the dream crawling towards my friends. I closed my eyes again and continued crawling, but the dream ended less than a minute later. It was extremely trippy though. I could feel the dream world, but see the real world.
Has anybody else done this before?
I wonder if you could get good enough at it that you could open your eyes while you still have visuals and see both worlds at the same time. Now that would be trippy.

Might be possible, but I don't think it'd be very easy. Dreaming is hard work. Seeing isn't much easier. Both at the same time? Ouch.

Well, I think did it last night, but I'm not completely sure. I could have just dreamt that I opened my real eyes. Next time this happens I'm going to wake myself up with my eyes open and see if they really were or if it was just a weird dream hallucination.

I WILDed and found myself looking at a bed. I wasn't in the dream I was just observing. The bed wasn't in a room in was in a black void. On the end of the bed was a laptop with a youtube page open, and the video was just a picture of Vertebrate's avatar(have no clue why....). And there was a man about 2 inches tall in a red pajama suit trying to pull a cord out of the side of the laptop. As I was staring at this scene everything started to warp, and then break. And I could feel my eyes starting to open, I remembered this thread and decided to open my eyes completely. When I did this the entire world broke like a piece of glass, and each geometric shape was either a part of the real world, or the dream world. I could see my blanket in one triangle, and then above it the dude still trying to pull the cord out of the laptop, and every other piece was either my real bed or the dream bed. I stared at it trying to comprehend what was going on, but then everything started to fade out into blackness before waking up. Like I said, I dunno if I really opened my eyes, or if the dream was just playing tricks on me. Either way it was pretty freakin' trippy.

same thing happened to me except i wasn't blind i just closed my eyes and went back to the dream world. kind of like a reverse thing. My eyes are closed in my dream they're open in real life. they're open in my dream they're closed in real life. very odd feeling.
