Two LDs so far this week, going well...so how do I avoid situations like this...

To begin positively, I've had bi-weekly LDs for the first time ever, which means if I keep going at this I can be fairly good soon, but there are creases which need ironing out before I can progress, so I'm asking for a little advice please. The post might be painfully long, sorry.

In the non-lucid I was having before I was playing with lots of tiny brown puppies, it was the middle of the night on a strange, half illuminated street, so at some point I figured I was dreaming. The dream ended, but I was thrown into some sort of silver-white vortex, I felt myself spinning and drifting around, and I remember thinking 'Yes! Come on now, transition and I can have some real fun.' I wasn't excited, just happy. I began to imagine a dreamscape, but nothing came of it and I drifted into dreamless sleep. I tried to construct for a little longer, and then figured my REM cycle must have passed. Needless to say I was quite disappointed.

In the LD before that, I became lucid because I'd had the dream before, years ago, and I remembered it. My thought process was: 'I remember this dream, the cult members are going to murder me,' yet I did nothing about it, just watched wearily, having no desire to control the environment at all, even though I knew it was a dream all the way through. I woke up when they did start killing me.

What do you guys make of these situations?
