Making great progress ! Thank you DV !
Hi guys, i'd like to share my progress here on DV since I don't have people LDing in my entourage :cheeky:
I've been making great progress lately and I need to say thanks to all the people on DV who help all of us new comers. your help is greatly appreciated. That being said, here's what happenned recently.
About a month ago I made my first real LD. I gain lucidity while I was mid air, jumping down a stairway. there where about 20 steps in the stair and I was slowly floating my way down all of them.. that's where I said to my self "wait a minute... I'm dreaming! thats it ! I'M DREAMING. I look down the stairs and there is two female silouhette waiting for me but I was so stoked about being lucid that I woke up.. So yeah kinda short.. I had lucidity for about 5 seconds. but still it was my first time and I was very happy about it !
for the next month I made zero progress mainly because I lacked sleep due to working overtime, stress and other occupations.. oh well shit happens.. But last night was THE NIGHT :shadewink:
I was dreaming that I was in class.. high school class.. i walk my way towards the front of the class and suddently i'm not in a class anymore i'm in some kind of a ball room.... i'm there in front of a roughly a 300 person audience and I'm picking up a Microphone... that's where I became lucid. I said to my self "Wait a god damn minute ? was I in a high school class a minute ago ? I have not been to school for the past 10 years at least lol... and how the heck I arrived in this Ball room with all these people I don't know ?!"
That's where I knew for sure I was dreaming... I was calm because the transistion from dreaming to lucid dreaming was way smoother than when it occured mid air ;) Man it was awesome.. I tell you, it's like I was dreaming in FULL HD lol... I was looking around the ball room it was so vivid, textures and colors so real.. I was thinking how powerfull the brain can be to simulate this realism and I even took the time to think "no wonder why I have such a hard time detecting my dreams most of the time, that shit look so real !!!"
So yeah, at that point I was standing, microphone in my hand, in front of 300 people waiting for me to say something... So my first reflex was to entertain these people, I started saying one or two jokes. it was okay I guess, few people laughed.. but you know, it wasnt that good of a reaction lol.. Once again I was thinking "wait a minute, I'm dreaming... If I want to, they should react the way I wan't." so I said something that I knew wasnt funny at all, something that doesnt make any sens. but deep down inside I wanted them to react louder and have more fun ! it was a test
so I said "a Carrot and toothpicks" and the whole room exploded in laughter ! it was loud and once again I noticed how even the sounds are rendered so perfectly by the brain ! that's when I woke up !
I was so happy because I had some kind of control over my dream, and it was my second LD ever ! I know I should have done some stabilisation techniques but I was so excited that I totally forgot.. I woke in some kind of SP residue, and it made my day right there !
during the day I was recalling what happenned, and at some point I was kinda sad that I did not try to do crazy stuff like most people do the first time they are LDing... I could have fly like superman, or throw fireballs in the audience lol.. but I like to stay positive and think that I not only had control over my dream, I had control over 300 dream characters at the same time ! that's a huge leap for me !!!
