      My mom has no clue...

So ive been doing reality checks for a few days, using 2 dots of sharpie on the palms of my hands, and a few minutes ago my mom noticed them, she immediately began flipping her shit "Do you think you're Jesus Christ!?"
"You're not going to school, ever again, i swear i will home school you!"

I tried to explain what they're for but she freaked before i could utter the word lucid, i said i wasn't in an occult but i guess she doesn't believe me
"This s*** is weird, cut it out!"

I am seriously confused as to why she is so angry, she used to be mad at me about bad grades but those are up now. i guess shes looking for a new reason to be mad, any advice?

      Thanks for reading,
      Vinny

Find another reality check that's a bit more discrete.

The question I am asking, why would your mom flip out and not listen to you? Perhaps a trust issue?

Without going into a lecture about it, I would say move to a reality check that doesn't include something that could bring offense, then take your mum aside sometime perhaps even apologize for causing offense (even if you didn't mean too) then gently explain what the reasoning was for the dots. Vuala, problem solved, you are happy and your mum is happy and perhaps even a little more trust will be thrown in the mix.

As for reality check, I recommend the nose plug as that one is easy and works well for me as well as many others.

You're right about the trust issue, my grades were slowly improoving, and i was feeding my mom the good news, but my brother proceeded to point out every flaw on my report card. Even when i was trying to explain the concept of LDing was troubling to her. i think id be best to let this blow over and not mark up my hands anymore.

I say humility is the best answer, though I am not your parent so I will just wish you luck with that then. Though I don't know how big a deal it really was, but if it was enough to leave an emotional mark for more than a day I would say making up is better than letting it "wash over" in the long run.

Anyway, good luck with your dreams and your mum.
