What is the name of the CD. My friend has a few that he tries a lot. Some of them have actually help.
Mostly anything that you do will have suggestive value. Homemade CD's might have more value since more work, and will, goes into their creation and deployment. But shelling out cold hard cash for some of this stuff must hurt with enough pain of honest penance to be good for something.
Plus, there is the factor of Synchronicity. If one creates or purchases something that is totally and utterly useless, but motivated by an honest intent, than the Higher Mind often enough takes Mercy upon us and soon provides something that really does work. Lousy books are followed by wonderful books, foolish practices give way to remarkably effective practices, and 2nd rate gurus have to make way for Real Gurus. It happens all the time in the Spiritual Community.
So a good intention never goes to waste.
