Earworms

Earworms, or Earbugs? You know, a song or part of, or an annoying advertisement jingle, that like it or not, catches your ear and keeps repeating in the background during your day. I noted in a message a ways back that I noticed that they generally mute once I fall asleep, only to pick up again when I become awake. I've never noticed it resuming amidst a lucid dream, but I have very few fully lucid dreams.
At any rate, I've started to note the current earworm of the day in my dream journal. And whether it has changed from when I went to bed to the morning (generally not). Not sure where this will take me but I urge others to try this experiment too, simply noteing their earworms in their DJ. Welcome any thoughts on this...

I've never heard it called an "earworm." Heh what a great descriptor.

I like your idea of journaling the earworms. Anything that sticks in your head like that is bound to have some affect on dreams, I would think.

I've had the portal 2 ending theme stuck in my head all day, maybe it will show up somehow in a dream tonight :)
