Breaking the News...
Friend: How do you know a lot (just above average for arguments sake) about sleeping and how dreams work?
Me: ERRRRR...WELL...I READ A.......B-B-book?
So forum, how would you break the news to a friend about Lucid Dreaming!
Personally, going up to your friend and saying, hey, i can do anything i want in my dreams and it feels real is usually returned by an odd look of
How would you go about it?
-
Me: HAI LOSER.
Loser: Zuh?
Me: HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF LUCID DREAMING????////
Loser: Uh, whut?
Me: IT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE DREAMING WHILE YOU'RE DREAMING!!!11
Loser: Oh, I think I had that once-
Me: YEAH I TRY TO DO THAT EVERY NIGHT!!!!11one
Loser: Oh... that's... that's cool.
Me: YEAH I LOOKED IT UP ON TEH INTERTUBEZ!!1!1@@121!
Loser: Why are you telling me this? I don't even know who you are...
Yeah, I just sort of tell people about LDing before I get asked about why I know so much about sleep and dreaming. If I were asked, I would shout "TEH INTERNET!" or something.

A friend: Hey, what are you doing?
Me: I'm looking around Dreamviews.com. It's a lucid dreaming website.
A friend: What's that?
Me: Knowing that you're dreaming. You can do anything you want.
A friend: What the hell's the point of that? (LOLZ)
Me: You can grow mentally and creatively, and do anything, including punch out someone who thinks there's no point to lucid dreaming.
A friend: ...
*Runs away in fear that I might actually punch them out*
In actuality, I've broken the news that I'm a lucid dreamer to a few of my closer friends. I acted knowledgeable about the topic, saying what it is and what it's used for, and they didn't think I was a creep or anything.

I told my friends when we were at a bar.
The subject came up and we talked about it for a bit.
I don't know if any of them ever tried it out.
-
my friends wanted me to tell them much to my surprise. I don't make a point of showing everyone the light though, i think I've told about 5 people how I do it if they ever want to
-
Well for me when I am in a large enough group and I mention it at least one other peson will know about it (not dreamviews members but they do practice it). I say something about lucid dreaming and then they confirm how awesome it is.

Lol a lot of my friends already know about lucid dreaming to my surprise... wait, am I dreaming?
-
I've talked to my cousin and a few of my friends about it. I just casually brought it up when I was doing a reality check since all my friends already know I'm weird anyway (but I didn't tell them about the reality check! lol). Most of the people I've told just kinda nod and smile, they get the concept but they don't care or don't see the appeal. My cousin has had a few lucid dreams, but his whole purpose is to wake himself up from a nightmare. I tried to tell him there's so much more to it than that, but he just shrugs it off. I guess it isn't for everyone.

as soon as i started reading about it, ive told about five people and i always get this feeling like there looking at me like im some kind of crazed man, but i get passed that feeling by telling myself im more creative and inquisitive then them and the fact there not interested is a fault on them because they're missing out. i really want to start introducing this to my friends to share the experience, i havnt had a lucid dream yet but when i get my first one i wont stop talking about it until they get the message!

I asked my dad if he tried it after the first time I tried WILD. He said he used to do it in college and was able to fly around and was able to like go inside his stomach(?)
Also, I talk to my girlfriend about it, and I think she tries it sometimes.
