What exactly is a Dream Guide?

What are these Dream Guides/ Spirits?

Dreamguides on this site are staff members here to help with dreaming.

Dreamiguides in your dreams (my belief) is a dream character that acts like it has more knowledge than others. Also dream characters that help you do awesome stuff in your LD's.

Others believe that they are spirats that talk to you in your dreams.

What dakotah said. I also think of them as DCs that try to show off more knowledge than others. Of course, as I tell everyone, make up your mind yourself once you meet him/her.

Has anyone ever had a dream guide that was an animal? Like a lion? :P

As a newbie, I thought that DG's are here to shed light to our LD's. Please don't think that others are showing off or are better than others the more DG who share their ideas the better for us to appreciate the site. Thanks very much.

My dream guide told me through a twitter thought bubble that they were there for me when ever i needed them. "My verbal command was guide reveal yourself now" but they wanted to communicate telepathically through me. At the time it made sense because i was flying at what seemed a hundred miles per hour through the air over my neighborhood. I think they are non physical beings that monitor your progress and guide you to the right path, but perfer to show themselves only when u request them.

As I understand it, dream guides are characters your subconsciousness have built to communicate with you directly, in most cases to deliver a form of message, or lead you through the dream. If you encounter one of these, I wouldn't try to control them, as they might have important or interesting things to say.
