Hey, I'm new here also and also starting off. I have yet to have my first lucid dream (getting extremely close however), but by my friends experiences, time travels by as realtime. No sped up movements (unless you yourself are commanding it). They also say there are time skips sometimes (night time to morning). Most of their dreams (depending on how long they are asleep) can last up to weeks. Sometimes it is just a few days. Still, extremely intriguing. They feel as if it is a vacation from life (:
There was an interesting bit of information that a new friend had shared with me. He had gained control of his dream, and had been wondering if you could change the dream time from a minute to minute scale to a 10 x 1 minute scale, or a day to a minute scale. He said out loud "I am now in a dimension where 30 minutes equals 1 minute waking time! The dream turned black, but he could feel that he was falling down. In front of him, appeared a door and on it said "30 minutes --> 1 minute" I have never actually experienced something like that, but I think it would be amazing to be in a dream for a week, or even a year, while your only in your bed for 8 hours.
sounds pretty cool. do you have good dream recall? mine is very poor but i only found this site yesterday so i am working on that just now
Yeah. There is a great tutorial written by KingYoshi, it's about using All Day Awareness, and with that comes being more aware when dreaming, and thus, remembering more vividly the details of dreams, and a much higher chance of lucidity. Here's the link. http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/all-da...gyoshi-113253/
i have checked those out, that is what i am working on just now, i just hope i crack this as i feel i have very high potential for LD's
The key is simply Persistence. Just keep doing what your doing, keep a dream journal, and you will have a lucid dream.
As Yoda said... "NO! There is no try! There is only DO, or DO NOT!"
Robert Monroe claimed to have experienced 100 years in a two hour OBE. I don't know if that's possible, or if he was making it up, but that sounds pretty cool.
Non lucid dreams feel like a day if I sleep atleast 3 to 4 hrs. Lucid dreams feel like 5 to 10 min intervals. But my intent isn't really to extend time but if u wanted too I'm sure u could will it so. I think time extension should be your sole intent though atleast at first. Just focus on extending the dream. Some times we get so caught up in the excitement of lucid dreaming we for get to extend it. Namaste :-)
