That's interesting. I'm not sure how effective those are, since millions of people eat them every day, yet very few LD. The best LDers can do it without external stimuli, so I think it's best just to stick to one of the proven methods like ADA or WILD. I don't really want to change what I put in my body so that I might have more LDs when I can get regular LDs in another way. There are natural ways to get an LD every single night, and they don't require a change in diet or anything drastic in waking life.
:-) I dont know about orange juice cheese and mustard but i do drink green tea with milk and sugar sometimes while doing wake back to beds and have had about a 50% success rate. ( i also couple that with sitting upright in a recliner when going back to sleep) Some people report success with caffeine and i know Green tea is loaded with it and milk affects melotonin levels according to the article so i guess i got two things working in my favor. Im all for natural ways to induce ld's, diet or no diet. namaste.
Caffeine and sugar just stress out your body making sleep difficult and thus making lucid dreaming more difficult as well. Like Gmoney said a good dreamer does not require external stimuli.
too each its own, what ever works for the practioner is whats important here and ofcourse that which is practiced must be safe short term and long term, in my case i drink green tea which already has caffine in it and has many healthy benefits, also everyone has sugar in there diet on some level, and milk come on i grew up this stuff. namaste :-)
i once fell into a trap by thinking that i could get away with having great dreams by just eating foods that induce lucid/vivid dreams and doing no work to supplement it. THIS IS A WARNING FOR ALL U LAZY FOLK OUT THERE! If you're going to try this, that's no excuse for you to not do reality checks/ADA/etc. Dont do the same stupid shit as i did!
