What do you think....?
A lot of my lucid dreams have to do with me fighting against some foe or protecting someone. (I love the super hero role.) The last few lucid dreams I have had involve me protecting a young man whom I have never met before. He is 20-24 years old, dark hair, more of an olive tone skin, sometimes wears glasses, always seems to be running away from some evil and I eventually end up protecting him and am willing to die for him. Most of the time my dream originally has nothing to do with this particular conflict but I always seem to bump into him while he's fleeing whatever is after him and I instinctively join him to help him. The first dream I was protecting him from Chathulu (if you read my other posts I reference this dream a lot) and another one that I can remember is I am protecting him from some government agency. (this dream resulted in me saying "fuck running" and I sent a tsunami at the agents.) Like I said I have no idea who he is but we always seem to meet. I have only had a handful of dreams involving him but they seem to stick in my head more and I think back to them more often then other dreams I have had.
What do you think this means?

I'd say you should try asking him who he is : )

Are you sure you are having completely Lucid Dreams? ... Because, if you wanted to, you could easily make it so your dreams do what you want, you could make it so you have to purpose in your dream.
Do you have a brother, maybe a sister, how about very close friend? Someone who you feel the same for in real life? ... Perhaps your subconscious is fabricating this Dream Character based off of a Waking Life individual (Very common). ...and Since you already love the Hero/Saving role, Your subconscious uses emotions and feelings you have for someone in Real Life, creating your scenario based on a role you love to play.
Remember, the vast majority of dreams people have, are usually replicated memories, feelings, thoughts that you experience or think during the Waking Life. They may be altered, or re-created differently, but 9 times out of 10, they have a source; in some way.

I guess he's not a real person, because otherwise you probably would've mentioned that. I honestly think it's just a dream character who you enjoy interacting with. I think he might always be running from something so that you can be there to help him, seeing as you enjoy the hero role. It's a fact that dreams that you really love having stick in your mind more firmly. I still remember a bunch of awesome dreams from when I was 6, and that was long before I even started caring about dreams.
So, anyway...I'd say that your subconscious keeps throwing him in there so that you can be the hero(ine) and help him. You remember the dreams because you enjoy them (at least I think you enjoy them...). So...yeah. I'm out of words.

Hmmmm, all good thoughts. It might be just something that my mind has created for me to be entertained I guess. I'll try to interact next time he pops up or create him myself to see.

Tell us what you find out from it. ;)

Many people talk of a kind of animus role turning up in dreams which is kind of the perfect compliment to your personality. If you wanna be a hero in dreams, you need someone to save...and maybe he's it :)
