Some people have said that the phrase Out Of Body travel is misleading, and lucid dreaming etc is an inner journey.
Other people say there's an unmistakable separation from the body.
I'm not sure what I think, cos I don't have enough experience yet.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I think the dream world is an internal thing. Each person has there own dreams that no one else can enter. Only their thoughts exist.

Shared dreaming hasn't been proven to exist. Dreams that come true are only a coincidence which most likely are influenced by your own thought of reason and the Dream World Academy is just a RP game. It's all in your head, but you can tweak it all and if say two people have the same dream and did the same things, well the experience is real even though it might not have happened the way shared dreaming is said to work.
Dreaming in general is an internal process that involves our mind making sense of things we've seen or done. Can't say about OBEs because I've never had one before.
Definitely dreaming and lucid dreaming are internal processes. I think outter body and astral projections are external processes. I've went back to this article i've known about for a while to help me differentiate internal dreams and external obe's. namaste.

Thanks for the article... Some people say OBE's and lucid dreams are similar, others don't. It looks like an interesting read. The chart comparing the two experiences sets out the authors opinion clearly...
I believe its both, or neither. I believe that most people have yet to discover the potential of the human mind, especially when it comes to astral projection, OBE, lucidity and the like. The basic laws of reality don't apply so I see no reason why you can't share an experience with another dreamer. Of course all theory and experimentation but I don't think it's impossible.
Yeah I've been teetering back and forth with lucid dreaming and obe, and I've had both experiences. so when i read the article alot of what was said resonated with my experiences. Thats all you can do really is experience both then see if what others are saying match up with your own personal experience in any way. Though your opinion is the only one that matters at the end of the day no one else.

But are these remote viewers going inside to get the information, or do they start off inside and then go outside? Who knows.

The main reason I started this thread was I needed to know where to focus my awareness in LD attempts. Inside or outside? It makes sense to focus on the infinity inside than wriggle around trying to 'project' before I'm ready.
One reason its hard to prove shared dreams etc scientifically is that people who can do it tend to keep themselves to themselves.Quote:

I think it's internal.
But when I had my first lucid it was near my house. It was cool to reenact my dream in real life.
