That's interesting. No, this hasn't happened to me, but sometimes in false awakenings I'm so tired that I can barely drag myself from the bed even though I know it's a dream. That's probably not the same thing though. |

I've had dozens of instances in the recent past where my dreams will create a situation (which may be a crazy concept in the real world) that give me an excuses to not wake up, or not get out of bed. Like just before I wake up or my alarm goes off my dream will give me a reason to come back to the dream world, or to stay in bed. And these reasons make complete sense in the dream (as they often do) but make no sense at all in the real world, yet when I wake up and think about what my dream tried to convince me I believe it without a doubt and go back to sleep. Almost like I needed to complete something there before I start my day or something like that. These instances often have caused me to sleep in like 2-3 hours past the time I wanted to get up and have made me late for classes and work. |

It's weird, almost like the dream justification bleeds over into reality in my mind. |

I've never been into "...Messages From Beyond..." but in this case, it sounds like you are telling yourself you need more sleep. Do you normally feel rested and refreshed in the morning? How much sleep do you normally get? |
|
I usually don't feel awake or refreshed, mainly because I am such a light sleeper and wake up several times throughout the night. On a good day I get like 6 or 7 hours of sleep, but for those late night parties or studying during school, more like 5 hours. It could be my mind telling me to get more sleep...I just find it really odd that for those particular cases I don't distinguish "dream logic" from real logic. Oh, and this has only happened within the last year. |
