Sometimes they didnīt believe me until I showed them some stuff which cannot be done in waking life, then they started to look around as they were kind of amazed...
In two of the three LD's that i have had i told a character i was dreaming. one was to friends and the other a young unfamiliar boy.
both times i was given blank stares, almost like looking at a robot missing the algorithm for that scenario.
start to chase you? thats a tad freaky. seeing you were lucid did you just palm their forehead?
No I normally let them chase me. I sometimes wonder what would happen if they catch me. Of course the people I tell seem different from the other DCs as if they really exist. Some feel as if they once existed. By feel I mean their essence. For some reason I can always sense/feel the essence of someone in my dreams. However, this only happens for some not all. The ones who have no essence are just DCs I guess. The other that have essence are something else I thinking; either fellow dreamer or spirit who decided to enter my dream.Quote:

They always want to convince me that it isn't a dream. They usually laugh, or scoff it off as nonsense, or ignore it entirely. :P
The ones I usually tell are my sisters, but I always seem to think of them as my real sisters. -_- I almost always consider people in my dreams other dreamers even when it is obvious they aren't one (probably because I want to share dreams). When I tell them that it's a dream they usually don't seem that surprised or to care all that much. The most they usually do is just say "Cool." and then just continue with what they were doing, but once in one of my dreams when I was flying around near my cousin she said "Aren't you worried about people seeing you fly?"
"No, because I know that I'm dreaming." I replied.
she then said "But what would you do if it wasn't a dream."
"Then that would just be awesome and I would still fly." I said as I continued to fly around. After I had said that she just went silent and seemed to be thinking about what I'd said but then didn't seem to care right after. What was funny is that she and my sisters had just jumped onto a building before the conversation began so it seemed silly that she was worried about me flying.
If I ever mention that I'm dreaming, in front of a DC, I'm mainly telling myself and take my attention away from them as if they don't matter. (Psh, all they do is distract me anyway.) Other than that it's me trying to convince a DC that they're dreaming, sometimes me not even realizing that I'm dreaming. Argghhrumble.
That's the exact reaction I got! I became lucid and turned around and some of my friends were sitting at a table talking. I turned around and told them I was dreaming, and then they said "Prove it!" while laughing.
Even stranger, when I tried to do anything to them, nothing happened at all. I couldn't touch them. Or do anything else otherworldly. Assholes. :P
I've mentioned it to DC's of my parents plenty of times that I'm dreaming, as when I'm around my parents in dreams, they always try and distract me.
I did once though, make a DC of my father realise he was dreaming. I was really excited, but when I woke up he had a completely different dream aha
When I was about 8ish I told my best friend we were dreaming. He merely looked at me and said "I believe you"
All of my DCs seem to know it already. Usually when I say something like "This is a dream, right?" they smile and say yes. If I go around telling them that it's a dream they just say something like "Yeah, so?" and continue what they were doing.
Last night I told a DC that I was lucid dreaming and they seemed very supportive, but not really that interested. I think it just depends on how you know the real person the DC is of and how you react to absurd or unlikely things. Skeptical? Gullible? Reassuring? Changes from person to person.
In my last couple of lucids, I've made it a habit to ask DCs if I'm dreaming or not. So far, they've all told me yes, and some even go as far as to remind me of my lucid goals. I feel so lucky having such a nice subconscious! :P
