I always recognise them, the issue is that when I become lucid in a dream, I typically have an immediate FA, the problem is that I usually find I'm either paralysed or I'm groggy/lethargic in my vision and movements. |

I misread your post, I thought you were saying you know what a false awakening is, but you have them, think it's real so you get out of bed and wake up. Sorry, it's been a long night for me |

I've experienced this before. It always helps me to just reassure myself that I'm dreaming and that I can move no matter what my dream tries to tell me. Then I 'thaw out' my body by allowing myself to gradually gain control, starting with my fingers and toes and eventually moving my core and getting up. |

@Guycecil; No worries, it's easy to just guess what you think a thread is about |

I have experienced this a few times. What I do is to first get up is to "roll" out of bed, its much easier to get up over all when I do this and therefore the effects are much less exhausting, Once up I usually immediately start to lose my vision. I counter that by removing the glasses I am wearing, because I they are OBVIOUSLY fogged up and impeding my vision. Works like a charm, also just opening your eyes wide very slowly and trying to look into a light source does good. |

Thanks for the advice Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try it last night :/ |
