Portals?!?!

I have been lucky enough to have success with attempting many endeavors in the astral plane. I mastered flying at my very first try, I can shoot ice out of my palms like out of some action SciFi movie, and yet I have NEVER ONCE been able to creat a portal. I have tried to create one in basically every single lucid dream that I have ever had and I have had many more then what I have posted on dreamviews. Can anyone give me any tips?!?! My boyfriend is fantastic at making them but he hasnt been much help. He says it feels like a magnet is in his finger as he draws it out. I have only experienced something very faint to that. HELPPPP PLLEEAASSSEEE!!:P

Try using a mirror as a portal. Just imagine were you want the portal to take you and walk through the mirror.

I also use the Portal gun from the Half Life series. For example about a year ago I tried to go to Pandora and just shot one portal in the wall and shot towards the planet, then walked through.

Are you sure your talking about the astral plane? Or are you talking about lucid dreaming?

I don't know what you imagine a portal to be, but they don't have to be your stereotypical swirling blue vortex. You can create a portal to be anything you can imagine, like doors, windows, mirrors, etc. Especially doors. Next time you lucid dream, just imagine you opening up that door to a totally new environment. Maybe do this several times until you see someplace you'd like to be...

I mean lucid dreaming but I say astral plane since thats where I believe lucid dreaming takes place. These are all really good suggestions. I was imagining the stereotypical swirling vortex of white light when I would attempt to create a portal and since in waking life I have never experienced that, I could understand why it wouldnt work for me while dreaming. I have a feeling like the door idea might work for me or even the mirror one (since I have had some pretty interesting experiences with mirrors while being lucid). THANK YOU GUYS SOOOOOO MUCH!! Let me know if you come up with any other techniques! The more suggestions the better. :lol:

Running and looking backwards: "Alright, there's a cave nearby that will take me to somewhere safer"
And when I look front again--> There's the cave portal.
Lol mostly used for escaping...
