Natural LD's?
So I am kind of new here, and just recently discovered this forum and started trying to remember my dreams more clearly and eventually be lucid, but I was wondering how common it is to have lucid dreams spontaneously, meaning without really trying. I ask this, because when I was younger (maybe about 12 and under) I used to remember my dreams clearly often, and also had lucid dreams fairly frequently. This was before I even knew what a lucid dream was, but I can remember having dreams in which I realized I was dreaming as far back as I can remember dreams (maybe 6 or so). Unfortunatley this slowed greatly as i got older and now a spontaneous lucid dream is a very rare thing for me. so, anyway I was just wondering if anyone else has had an experience like htis?

I typically have one, sometimes two, LDs per month in which I don't make an effort to have one. Of course, it's entirely possible (and I believe highly probable) that these seemingly-random LDs are really a latent result of my efforts from the days or weeks before.
Just focus on getting a good dream recall--if you can remember 1 or more dreams per night, you're in good shape. Because what good is having a LD without remembering it? :P (Edit: If you're having trouble remembering your dreams, I'd recommend starting a dream journal. DJs help to increase dream recall for most people :shadewink:)

I echo slurry. When other things in life take priority over LDs I can be sure to have at least one per month.

When I was younger I used to have good dream recall and lucid dreams pretty often without trying too.
My recall is back up to speed nowadays, but LDs are another story.

Happens all the time. Happened to me when I was younger, and ironically I have LD's when I stop trying. :)

Yep I get spontanious lucids, have done since I was little..I used to suffer the horrors of SP and then this in turn would throw me into a lucid dream, i didn't know at the time that this was what was happening so all my life i was freaked out by this untill just 3 months ago when i found out about SP. I also have lucids without having the SP first..this is usually a DILD. I have been a natural lucid dreamer since a child and as I have got older it is better and the SP i go through is alot stronger but now I can controll my SP the fear is gone and i just do what I have to do to throw me into a lucid, when you get past the fear its one hell of a ride, i love it now it's quite funny :)

Mine was directly opposite of yours...
Accompanied with other effects of course.
