**What stage was I in?**
I failed a WBTB WILD last night/this morning. But I'm confused on what stage I was in, I'll describe what happened.
Got up 6 hours later
Lied on my back, this took awhile, longer than I wanted, and at one stage a sound above me (was really weird like a squelching noise) made me open my eyes for a second, but I closed them straight away. Very soon after doing so my body went into SP I think, got a weird wave over me and my heart started getting faster and louder (because when I go into SP I dont get enough oxygen) so I increased my breathing, deeper and my heart calmed down to an extent where I couldnt hear it at all. Then I was in this stage I felt very comfortable but nothing happened, I sat there for about 10 minutes without any sort of sign of progress, I was expecting a noise or an image, but nothing, so I took my chances opened my eyes and... failed.
What stage was I in after SP, becuase I didnt seem to progress when I expected I should have. (was it opening my eyes early on and I hadnt even realised how deep I was?)

This sounds very familiar to me, I have been trying to WILD too and I never succesfully pulled it off(yet:D)
I personally think that its the stage when SP hits (hearts racing, you have to breath faster) when you become too awake to fall asleep and thats why the SP goes away again and its a failed attempt.
For me it probably was that I was too excited about the SP stage.

Yeah but I still felt paralysied, like I became comfortable, but I was just waiting and nothing else happened, anyone elses opinion on this.
(Btw I waiting ~40mins in total)
