Needles!
I was wondering if anyone could help me interprt this I suppose nightmare I had. I was lucid in parts.
I was running (dream sign btw) down this city. It was dark and the buildngs were mostly gray. I was running away from something but I never turned around to look at what it was. Surdenly I felt something hit me in the back and everything went black. I soon woke up in a dimly lit room. I was laying on a metal table. Much similar to those found in a vet. The room seemed like a hospital room. There were two men with white lab coats on and without thinking I got up and bolted out of the room. The door was unlocked. I remember them coming after me. I ran down a hallway. It deffinetly had a hospital feel to it. I passed doors and doors. Some open some closed. I paused and one of the men grabbed hold of me and he appeared to be holding a needle. I remember being pricked by it and falling unconisous in the dream. Everything turned black basicly. I woke up in a different room lying a bed before I awoke for real.
Other things happened but that was the main idea of the dream. I don't watch horror movies or read books that would have an idea similar to the dream (scifi and such). So if anyone has any ideas it would help me a lot.
Thanks for reading!

strange dream. The theme seems to be running away from something or someone. But you can't escape. Does that parallel with anything in your life right now?

Hey Katniss... it's no wonder you'd have nightmares after all you've been through in the Hunger Games...
:cheeky: Ok sorry.
Well, without knowing any of the things going on in your waking life that might factor into it, this sounds like a pretty typical nightmare. Pretty basic schema... being chased, caught, having surgical things done to you etc.
I would recommend writing in your journal basically everything that's going on in your waking life now... anything that's been on your mind that you might have repressed feelings about... any friends or family you might not be treating quite as well as you should.. you know, that kind of stuff. Anything you might be stressed about. Usually when you do that it becomes pretty clear what a dream was telling you, unless it was just a regular random dream (which this one does sound like to me).
According to Jungian theory, dreams are the unconscious' way of balancing out incorrect conscious attitudes. So the way to figure them out is to ask what conscious attitude the dream is compensating for.
