A reliable dream world?
I wasn't quite sure how to phrase this, or whether it had been covered before, but it is a possibility I am now considering more realistically.
I gave up Lucid Dreaming for a while as I was getting a bit fed up with having to write a dream journal. As I started remembering more of dreams it took an increasing amount of time to write them down. Eventually it dawned on me that typing is faster than writing and so I tried again. I started having Lucids again within a few days and suddenly I've started having them consistently.
Anyway, I thought that now I was on a roll I should try and do something a little more constructive than flying and destroying things. So I took some inspiration from my recorded dreams and noticed some of them took place in similar places with similar themes. My question is, can you create a recurring dream 'world' with consistent landscapes, characters and plots.
I was thinking of doing it by perhaps creating it in my head out of several dreamscapes I have already encountered and then I would teleport to it when Lucid. But is it possible to get this level of control and repeatability? Has anyone successfully done anything like it before? I doubt I'd be able to pull it off yet because I am still a novice lucid dreamer but it would be a great goal to work towards.

You can. You can do anything in dreams. But it will be difficult. The three things I find most important in determining your ability to control your dreams are motivation, expectation, and dedication. If you have those three things you can do anything you want (in dreams). But it's easier said than done.

It's definitely possible to keep going back to a certain location every time you become lucid, but you have to visualize and fully believe said location to be the same every time, and in every dream. You can't just visualize it in one dream and simply expect the location to be the same in all your next ones without making an effort, not to mention different details will be off. It's a goal that requires consistent dream control.
I've been to a few different locations multiple times, and although location-changing is one of my strong suites, I had difficulty maintaining consistency because each dream was different - lighting, etcetera. I wanted to teleport to a forest; the first time it was dark and I couldn't make it light because the lights in my physical bedroom were off; the second time I was able to make it light.

Interesting idea. I would love to see what kind of results you get from doing this. However, I have to agree with Puffin with the fact that this would probably take an extreme amount of dream control. Its stuff like replicating the same lighting, areas and details which I would imagine would be the hardest tasks.
However, I don't think it would hurt to try. :)

Yes, it is possible, but it would be a bit like a living garden, where there can be some changes every time you visit. I think it would be easiest to start small. Draw a plan on paper or the computer. That way you have a clear picture in your mind. Start with one DC you would like to establish being there.
I myself usually start my LD from the house in which I live. The furniture changes, the view out of the windows also, but the layout is always the same. DCs come visiting and change, but two DCs are constant.
Make it a fun game, so you can enjoy it even when at first it does not quite has the outcome you were aiming at. If it is enjoyable, it will eventually have a good result.
