      How do you stay motivated?

A few months ago I didn't just stop having lucid dreams, I also stopped trying. Maybe I am just lazy but I just cant seem to get motivated enough to start trying again, even though I really would like to have lucid dreams again (of course). Any tips on how to stay motivated or on how to get started again?

Reinforcement via snacks kept me motivated for quite some time. (Rewarding self with a treat after having a lucid dream.)

Make up an awesome scenario or goal for your next lucid that makes you want to get back into it again!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

The lucid dreams themselves are enough to motivate me.

I remember when I was new at lucid dreaming though. Only having a couple Lucids a month was not enough to completely motivate me. I found a lot of strength and support through dream views though! And honestly when you get to be a good lucid dreamer (I think I would count myself as "good") it's actually easier to achieve more Lucid dreams.

So just keep the thought in your mind that. "I'm going to work through this and start to frequently lucid dream. And after that it will be easy".

And like puffin said. When you start to feel unmotivated remember all of the cool things you can do in a lucid dream. Hopefully that will inspire you to keep moving forward.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

Reading through dream journals of people more experienced than i seems to get me well-motivated.

Particularly Waking Nomad, Puffin's, Nina's, Oneironaut's and Kingyoshi's are also very good, to name but a few.

Thanks a lot. It will probably take a few weeks of practice to get back though, and I am way too impatient
