and your ability to Lucid Dream.
Nope, they think I'm crazy! :P
Yes, I know. Mention Lucid Dreaming to anyone and they appear very interested..........................Mention that one can actually do it and they shy away Big Time.
My parents know nothing about me. im very modest.
You have No Family.......We Are Your Family Now........lol.
lmao. well if i get to know u, im sure i would be closer to u than any of my family.
Same here. :DQuote:

I'm a crazy -- are you a crazy too?
Then there's two of us, don't tell!
How boring to be normal, like a frog
Proclaiming your name all day long to an admiring bog
Well....We Brits do have The "Crazy Frog".
yeah my mom didn't believe me at first and was very skeptical but she knows I wouldn't lie to her about something like this so when I had my first LD she started believing in them. Shes curious to have one also.
I've mentioned it to my parents and I think they believe me. We're all fairly practical but still have imaginations. As ridiculious as the idea of lucid dreaming may sound at first, there's an undeniable level of truth to it. I've done it and they believe me.
Some of my siblings, though, just look at me funny but do nothing else beyond that. I'm really the only one that's really interested in dreams in my family, and since they're not interested I really don't press the matter. To me, I don't care if they believe me or not, just as long as they don't try to argue with me.
(Some of my friends at school are somewhat intreigued... especially when I told them about my LD where I jumped out the window... well, both LDs)
My dad is jealous because he never could. I almost would feel sorry for him if we didn't get in so many fights.
I've tried to bring up the subject in discussion several times, but haven't succeeded so well and now I've given up. I don't really know what they think, but they don't seem to be interested.
No one I've talked to about it just couldn't care less, people are too busy with their so-called lives to pay attention to anything that may confuse them even the slightest bit.
Everything you aren't taught at school doesn't exist or is somehow "forbidden" and is looked at as somewhat of a bad habit (ie.drugs, even though most people use alcohol and still think everyone who uses anything else than alcohol is a junkie and is, with no exception, somehow a very depressed person who attempts suicide on a regular basis)
Another good example of this is, if you don't believe in God, or things like that. You are automatically a satanist etc. (even though satan is gods creation)
or with boys, if you aren't homophobic/have longer than normal hair, you are "a fag" (and funny enough those haters come and touch you for no apparent reason, and call YOU a fag... :? )
"...People are strange, when you're a stranger....."
See I came from a familly of natruals, which sucks because they don't understand why I want to lucid dream seeing as they do it anyway without thinking much about it. Though my little sister sucks at lucid dreaming too, so I can hold a conversation about it with her, but she gets bored and changes the subject after a while.
I talk to my family about it often, and they all understand it. Many of them have had lcudi dreams. A few of my fmaily members are even naturals. They think its cool, and they like it. Sometimes theyll make jokes like, hey Jonathan anre you dremaing?? Its nice to have your fmialy do realtiy chekcs for you. haha. So everyoen knows I lucid dream, and everyone thinks its cool, and I htink they understand beacse they have lcuid dreams every now and then also. But then again I alyws talked about lucid dreams even when I was little ( of corse I didnt know what they were called) so its not like its anything new to any of them.
Yep, my family knows nothing about it. At all.
Exactly, it's kind of like a taboo in my household. I don't really talk about it anymore, mainly because from there on, the chat becomes very awkward... :hrm:Quote:

I've told a few people including my family. I would sat that its me who doesn't understand them... No one seems to be interested at all. They just find it funny that I have a dream journal (diary).
I think LD'ing is the bestest ever!
Too bad I can't do it :P
No I would never tell my family. My mom would probably destroy my dream journal or something :( .
Just about everyone seems to know someone that did talk about it. Example my brother had a girlfriend that was into it. Or my sister-in-law’s X was into it. That kind of thing. My family thinks I’m crazy anyway. So it’s just another fad. I do have a son-in-law that dreams that way a lot but didn’t know it had a classification. I just talked today with him about it. To him it’s like talking about a regular dream. I question him at times “do you know you are dreaming and are you as conscious as you are know?” He just says yes and goes on talking about it like it was nothing special. There are some people that have always dreamed with lucidity and think everyone else does. I think we are a very small percentage of people that know and exercise the ability.
my mom thinks it evil like spirtism and such just because its not normal
my dad thinks its funny(in other words he wont stop me but he is not really intersted in it.)
I think that stuff is so stupid. God wouldn't have allowed us to do it if it was evil. Its part of our brain, what "he" gave us.
Can we get some kind of religion filter in the forum? Honestly... Anyone who forbids LD'ing is just an ass (unless its because your alarm is waking them at funny hours)
they'd just think its something not "normal" and devil related.....so...i'll just keep it to myself for a while longer
I come from a family of naturals also. My Mother was the first to tell me that I wasn't crazy and that she does it also. I have a sister who is a Lucid Dreamer with amazing abilities but is now too scared to exercise them because of one dream that went haywire. My father is the only one who doesn't have the ability and he thinks all of us is pulling his leg when we mention a Lucid Dream.
